Sailor - Limited Edition Lozenge Fountain Pens
Product Description
Taishi-Tsu, pronounced, ty-shee-zoo, is another cultural art form from Japan. In this style, Urushi lacquer is hand mixed into a paste, similar to a modeling clay. Then, by adding crushed gold dust or other natural powders it becomes textured. This gives it a rough surface to the touch.
The lacquer, in this state, becomes easier to work with and color, which allows for the eclectic patterns and designs found in Sailor’s Taishi-Tsu pens. The artist that created this art form for Sailor’s pens is also noted for working on Japan’s National Treasures in lacquer in the Emperor’s palace in Japan.
This is more than a work of art; this is a passion coming to life in front of your eyes and in your hands.
