Product Description

Graf von Faber-Castell "Pen of the Year 2003" in Snakewood
What distinguished the Graf von Faber-Castell Collection are selected materials and craftsmanship, resulting in out-of-the-ordinary aesthetics. In future there will be an annual edition of quality writing implements, each produced for just one year.

This year’s special edition is a plunger-action fountain pen made of snakewood with platnized metal parts and an 18-carat bi-color gold nib in three different widths, already ‘run in’ by hand. A special feature: the twist grip of the plunger mechanism is protected by a platinized cap to prevent the pen leaking.

…kg is the weight of one cubic meter of snakewood tree on arrival in Europe. This one of the heaviest and most expensive types of wood. Reddish brown, also known as serpentwood or leopardwood on account of its snakeskin-like markings, it is very decorative and is popular for the handles of unusual walking sticks and umbrellas, violin bows, and luxury objects.

The instruments are presented in a gift box with limited edition certificate and a brochure.
